A motion graphic festival was put on by TEKKO called Future Beautiful. They asked 30 designers to create an animation or print piece that reflects this title. I approached the project backwards, if you will. By taking the subject of a cow (and its involuntary sacrifice), I was able to visually show how the animal is broken down into a million products that we use everyday. So, in a sense, "A COWS FUTURE IS YOUR FUTURE", means that the BY products from a cow that we BUY helps to enhance our beauty and health in everyday rituals. For example, chemical manufacturers use the fatty acids of inedible beef fats and proteins for the production of lubricants and fluids. From industrial cleaners and fertilizers to printing ink and high gloss for magazines, many useful products are created from beef cattle. Automobile and bicycle tires contain stearic acid, which makes the rubber hold its shape under continuous surface friction. Even the asphalt on our roadways contains a binding agent derived from the fat of beef cattle. Shaving cream, make-up, deodorant, toothpaste.....all come from cows, its really insane if you think about. But I would suggest you don't.
