Busy

Justin Harder

Sept. 8, 2012

There is a bed that sleeps alone. Who neglects anything specific like time and has chosen to be anonymous and may never be found. Thus a treat is born. That your invited to read below. shall it receive you in tact without any sense or fact. Just a collected mess that will always be Awake, if taken care of. It will go out of its way, to awkwardly ground itself to be pet with understanding. Saying things with clumsy fingers to explain nothing but making sure to pack and plan a royal miss spelling adventure of Love. Although out of kindness due to procrastination, rigorous efforts made their way backtracking with a fine comb. Aware of knowing exactly what it was mowing. This lawn of bad posture is now flat for your pleasure. So we ask you nicely to please continue.

As you can imagine Letters became friends, they hung out, had sleep overs, face booked and collectively said they wanted to talk to you. The alphabet were very eager as they really have nothing else to do but talk. Majority leaned to when you hid a secret tangled thread of renewed value. That would teach me for my eyes only to know the real about you.

Show me, align your selves my alphabetical friends. Spell me the way.
Circumstances waisted no time and quickly gathered. stretching out, making out and soon they met. Spelling out a thought that our souls would be free. We could trade back and forth like baseball cards. yours is mine, forever you forever me.

A slight flash of untranslatable scratches dug its sweet tongue to find its way. Yes it went Up right and than down. Swimming symptoms of symbolisms awoke and got busy rewinding my mind. Amazingly a gush of courtesy politely performed its procedure using only the unknown guide we pretended to view under something that was sort of nice that preferred to not be sharp even though we could sense its evil mood grew.

As things sped up and moved. Time woke up late to spend what it could. Natural orbit carried on with a heavy basket filled with loud situations that had thought maybe their destination would be caught in designer fish nets to score neglected goals for the sake of being random because we are all falling apart so thank goodness for glue.

Open sesame, this gate that will never dry of mistake cuz its so wet, shiny with envy. Keep quiet if you can repeat after me before you go to keep the unity to feed me. Our needs to reserve a make believe allowance lends a silence to shake empty hands that will or will never meet our demands. But lets Point to change and continue so I can tell you really what I mean.

Say we crashed into the woods of a city that was never meant to be, where trees made the move to an amazing non people place called far from here, a place providing they will never see back here. Good bye you green things of lovely, leafs that love me. Do disappear, but near so I know your flaccid like reality tv. Making big time arrangements like a bouquet of descent via ftd that entertains its numb equal sign of eternity having a confused power for pain. But you must Wait until I run into a hole where i can sing all of my favorite songs and drop shadows from my breathe deep from within my beating brain.

Oh do Trust this sense of non, brush and thrust this ambiguous dust that sprints fast and long, like bright green yarn. Knit with my shy alliance that sketches strategically while avoiding anything that resembles a pattern that might be considered injured because its sick and would rather…. The Truth has a mouth with many teeth. making for a perfect smile of denial. And this shit means fuck off nothing but it made and will make you think for awhile.

Right away I found myself
Down away
Up away
to be left away
With no place to stand or stay.

Between everywhere and here.
Neural without love or fear.
Mid way seven story.
In a place called purgatory.

Where triangular circles travel in a box.
All the stairs have steps with combination locks.
Where the sidewalk bends back to where it began.
Where all planes fly around without a place to land.
Up Away / Mid Way
With out a Right Away.

Tenderness

Justin Harder

May 27, 2012

You have lips like a rose.
Kiss me with those.
Deep down below.... No, low
Down further—
All the way to my toes.
Wait !!
I'll pour some sugar on them.
I know this looks like weird.
But just pretend it's my face
sans a beard.
Kissing feet has never been so sweet !

I O U

SO I CAN LOVE YOU.
I WILL LOVE MINE.
SO YOU CAN LOVE ME TOO.

Bats & Frogs

Justin Harder

May 3, 2012

I'll be able to see you bright and clear if we stand away from under this cloud here. I want to dance with your smile. But just for a little while. Until the sun no longer has a need to be around. Where it will bleed far off into the horizons ground.
I have seen this go bad once before. Blind bats and frogs soaked in poison poured down so fast I found my self knocking at my ex girl friends door. Can't have that so we best take cover. I need you to be bright and clear. Now that your my next lover.

Deep Thoughts

Justin Harder

April 18, 2012

I have so much to tell you….
I'll try to write this nice and quick,
Hope you don't get sea sick ?
At first I was thinking we could take a drive.
But may be better explained on a deep sea dive.
Traveling down into aquatic space.
Although It be hard to chat with a scuba mask on our face….
So enjoy the silence,
Sinking into what some may consider a place of violence.
Where day is always night.
Where most things on the way,
would like to take a bite....
Just stay close and I'll take you to my abyss.
Beyond the demented fish.
Past the Shipwrecks,
filled with pirate bones.
Lava flowing hydro thermal outlets.
Lobster traps and tangled fish nets.
You never know ?
We might get our picture taken with the ghost of Jacques Cousteau.
We'll be as low as anyone could ever go.
It will be our own little private idaho.
Once we finally hit rock bottom.
The only way,
will be back up.
We don't want the bends,
So lets not be fast or abrupt.
Now that we are all the way down here
on this deep sea dive.
I forgot what I was going to tell you.
Just glad we are both still alive.

If money grew on trees

Justin Harder

Sept. 6, 2011

If money grew on trees
Honey would no longer be made by bees
Cows would no longer make cheese

If money grew on trees
We wouldn't care about taxes, bills or late fees
Nor would anyone care to say thank you or please

If money grew on trees
Houses or cars wouldn't need locks or keys
Nor would anyone bother to stop when a cop yelled freeze

If money grew on trees
Eventually everyone would be begging on their hands and knees
for trees to pretty please
GO BACK TO GROWING LEAVES !

Mr. Refrigerator

June 29, 2011

Fat and lazy, cold and empty.
Humming and gasping.
Never smiling or laughing.

Your straight face smirk,
Is a creaky door to even a colder place thats weirder than captain kirk.

You clutter and hoard,
Attracting sticky things that collect expired things that i only look at when im bored.

Every time you fill your void.
It makes my body ache
And my stomach is annoyed.

So i will continue to only use you for one purpose.
Which is attaching memories and reminders magnetically to your cold metallic Surface.

Actually.
I am kinda hungry
need you back
Open up
I want a snack.

Catch 22

Justin Harder

June 16, 2011

Once before
All I ever wanted

Was to catch a piece of your love.

At first you were clever
when you accidentally let some slip
casually loosening the lever
But just a little bit
Enough to make me want more

Your love gradually began to spit and spill
making me look crazy, running around like a chinese fire drill

Here and there from that day after
Your love came faster and faster

What was once a leaking drinking fountain
Was now an ocean of love falling from a mountain.

I found myself with cups, buckets, nets and hooks
Soaking wet all the while trying to read about how to catch your love in books.

Your love became my priced possession
Collecting it piece by piece like an obsession.

Everyday I wanted more and more.
Holding it, Folding it like an expensive sweater that I placed nicely in a drawer.

Not sleeping the night before
Knowing the next day I had something to wear.
My new wardrobe
Your love was the only thing I wore.

Awaiting and Ready for any new drips I might have missed.
Always on the lookout, Always on call
Catching without releasing so your love wouldn't fall.

But eventually like a switch
Your Love flicked out from gleaming lambent light
to heavy and dark without a sound
Out of sight

This Love of yours that I wore
was now drowning me down
like a chain mail gown.

Deep Into the abyss of your love reservoir
That I collected
That I wanted more and more.

Sinking lower and lower…..

This wasn't love I thought
It was something that i caught

Your love was, and always was nothing but an addiction
I caught a disease, a bug, a love drug.
Itching spuriously, asking for more and more.

Your love may as well have been in the lost and found.
As I am now trapped and naked like a lost puppy at the pound

So finally
With one last gush of breath I swam back up to the surface
half dead laying free of your love on the shore.

I scooped up what remained
What once seemed like an ocean
Was able to fit in a little bottle the size of hotel lotion.

Now it was just a message in a bottle
dry as leather
a message to me
an SOS to be set free

So I dropped your love
I watched it shatter on the rocky shore.
into 22 million pieces that I caught
Once before.

Mirela

Justin Harder

May 31, 2011

Nobody really knows,
the exact shoe size of Cinderella.

But I know a young girl,
from Bosnia named Mirela.

She wears a size nine.
and has never been on time.

Her most favorite color is mustard yellow.
Loves green salads,
Loves to play acoustic ballads.

But there kinda out of tune,
like hungry werewolves yelling at the moon.

When asked what her child's name would BE.
She said River, like Joaquin's late brother,
in " Stand By ME "

But her favorite movie is "Breathless"
A story by Jean-Luc Godard,
About a guy who loves and plays hard.

Oh Mirela !
Your like a glow in the dark Umbrella.
Delightfully bright and clever.

You have a game changing point of view,
Fairy tales have nothing on you.

April 14, 2010

This crystal air tastes better when your hair breathes long.
Wind gushes a scent of sudden calm.
Rush the thunder
Sound the alarm.
Working on things,
Things that seem strong.
Coming from down under,
Run and take cover.
This is no place to find a lover...

December

Justin Harder

Dec. 28, 2009

A bag of fog,
politely spilled into my lap
Slowly Rolling its long legs out
yawning
than took a nap.
With out hesitation,
my fascination
attempted to wake down the gloom
slicing my body through the haze
I found myself trapped in a broomy maze.
it wrapped its murk around my mind and toes.
filling my eyes up with milky soup
and stinking up my clothes.....
Eventually the sun burned the fog into a billion pieces
that were too small to see
even if you were a flea
No way anyone would ever be able to put the fog back together
but i have a feeling the fog will back
its that time of weather.

Close Away

Justin Harder

Nov. 5, 2009

She's so close.
But far away,
I might as well live in the slum shums of Bombay.....,
Where i wouldn't think about her everyday.
Regardless Here or there.
Maybe i need to go elsewhere.
An epic voyage
Navigating only at night.
The hard way,
Sans a light.
In search of something else.
Like a torn star.
scud down the sound,
Past the river.
Through the bight,
Out of her sight.
Back to the future,
In reverse.
To a time when our face wasn't a book.
When every day was a hungry winter,
Wether a boy had a thorn in his side
Or a splinter.
Tears were reserved
Rhymes of tribulation
Ruled the nation.
Before flat could be round.
What was mysterious,
couldn't Be found...
This curiosity
casts me out like a shadow
Without wind
Or a paddle,
Gushing blind into the stormy atlantic,
With the possibility of hitting an iceberg like the titanic.
Treasure ahead
Risk take,
Strike
Even if lightning fakes.
Off the plank
Anything can happen,
Back on board
Nothing is a mistake.
I could sail from Jamaica to England past Antarctica and arrive somewhere in Temecula.
And i would never come across a gem quite like Jessica.

static life
hand me down astronauts
hand me up goldilocks
lock her up
tie her in
should i begin
ready yeti, set
no beats on the boom box yet ?
here in the boon docks
just velcro straps
on my polar bear sky tops
two fans at once
but we got knocked down
1 punch
red masked tunnel chasers
found my way
new door
color dodge the burn
pixelized fries
never die
21 choices and 34 voices sat together
on the knoll
debates grew higher than the grass
dream weave me into blue
so i can again
be something new
hi hat low cut kisser
switch stance poser
Back page of Thrasher
Only optometrists point the finger
So it goes......
north wing blinger
she parties in disguise
hide your eyes
you on top
scratch and pause
no long line
just another way for us to pass time
we'll be so close our cells
will know each others fears
By than you will love what i got by sublime.
cant sleep, cant eat
stronger than last week
almost done
cerebral tension
cliff hanger
suspension
forgetting to mention
high school detention
spanish prison
the south division
where they feed you experiments
from the kitchen
kissing the page
with wet ink
giving the toxic indication
that i need a vacation

I Light You

Justin Harder

Oct. 12, 2009

I Light You
On Fire.
Stopping the world to melt.
Away.
I am a ever lasting candle,
That no one can handle.
But if you are unique ...you will climb with me to the peak.
Of this flame i speak.
I am a torn star, from a place very far.
Far or near ..your always here.
I laugh with light,
burning away the dark,
all night,
shedding long tears
made of wax.
blow me out and light me back
with a match
Running quick
out of wick,
like a bomb,
with one last tick.
light is for ever...
death of light?
Never !

Sculpt ridiculous pots made of clay
Like swayze and moore did in ghost.
Or make our own movie
Starring only you and me
One location
No crew
Just me and you
We dont even need a camera
Just your light
For 9 1/2 weeks every night

Dirty Window

Justin Harder

July 30, 2009

When i pass by your dirty window

I stop to see if the coast is clear
and i draw you a symbol that i fear

i would be more afraid to write my name
but i suppose its more about the game

I would be even more afraid to talk to you
than if i was trapped underwater with a crocodile at the zoo

this symbol that i drew on your dirty window that i fear
is everywhere

its been drawn, printed, and painted all over the world
time and time again
you probably drew them on your notebook
when you were ten.

In case you don't remember, its shape is quite simple and sweet
i'll show you how to draw it,
if we ever meet.

this symbol represents love
as it does pain

maybe thats why your just waiting for my symbol to wash away in the rain

but i do not wish to complain
nor do i want your dirty window to stain

What i really fear
more than you knowing my name
or being trapped under water with crocodiles at the zoo
is that i heart you.

Its all your ever need

Leopard Calm

Justin Harder

May 5, 2009

The Leopard was calm
Laying there in the grass after lunch licking his palm.

Full he was, from all the colors he ate.
Digesting red, blue, orange....even the yellow plate.

Lay there awhile he did,
Asleep with one eye open, he hid.

Patiently waiting for thieves to open the forbidden lid
Until one day, someone came, yet it wasn't a thief, it was a kid.

Now you see the leopard can get pretty eager
Eating only colors from a rainbow, can be quite meager

He prefers to snack on bandits, crooks, pirates, vikings and thieves.
Once he was so hungry he ate a whole tree with a million leaves

His job and pleasure.
No matter the weather

If it’s raining, snowing, or very cold.
He must guard the pot of gold.

Even if he is 100 years old
Even if his whiskers grow mold

Everybody within a thousand miles, all know
That a hungry leopard lays at the end of the rainbow.

Never before has a kid rode so far and wide,
He didn't even have a guide.

The half asleep Leopard went from comfortably snoring
To savagely roaring

He leaped out from where he laid hiding
Yet the kid merely stepped of the horse, he was riding

Surprised the kid was not
Oh how this made the Leopard steam red hot

The heated Leopard raised his pointy sharp claw
Yet the kid merely laughed as he scratched his jaw.

The kid looked into the Leopard’s beady eyes
They reminded him of his mother’s apple pies

They stood face to face under the glowing sun
Any other kid would have cried and run

Just as the Leopard was about to reach in for a bite
With a smile, the kid stood upright

And he began to explain
To the wild Leopard why he came

Soon the Leopard learned the kid’s name,
About his family, his travels, and soon became tame.

His Family was recently overtaken by bandits, crooks, pirates, vikings and thieves.
The kid proved it was true, and showed the Leopard a piece from one of the pirate’s sleeves.

Bandits, crooks, pirates, vikings and thieves.
Were of course the Leopards biggest pet peeves

This news made the Leopard reason with the kid
And now that he knew the kid’s name was Sid,

He offered to do anything he could, even the gold under the forbidden lid.
Anything to make up for what those bandits, crooks, pirates, vikings and thieves did.

The Leopard respected Sid for being so brave and strong
Knowing he had rode alone from far away for so long

Well now that all the gold was gone
The Leopard would have to sing a new song.

He will of course continue to hunt down bandits, crooks, pirates, vikings and thieves.
But now the Leopard can venture out with different beliefs.

Shoe Monster

Justin Harder

July 8, 2008

You’re a Modern time Frankenstein

Contrived of spray glued straps of leather
and turpentine

A frightening mass of pure
Crass, Harmless and mature

silent
speaking only when the wind runs through your strings

seen to some as only a cluster of old shoes
to others, a book of virtues

Anxious of your own reflection
Yet Precarious with a direction

in sneak of renewal
not for fossils or jewels

Your forlorn scrutiny yearns for a novel feeling
To be not just shoes
But a human being.
